When I first started my blog I had hoped of one day having a enough content to have a section for purely nothing but fashion and beauty. I named that section Glamville.
Since starting my blog though I have not really had much time to focus on Glamville. 2017 was a rough year for my family. We lost our home to a fire which was caused by a lightening strike. A couple months prior to that a good friend of mine had sent me some samples of a new shampoo that was taking the world by storm. It was called Monat. I remember using the samples (actually rationed them out LOL) and falling in love with them. I wanted to place an actual order eventually but time and life got away from me and lets be honest I have never been good at self care.
Over the summer while on a bachelorette party in Mexico 
my sister in law asked me if I had ever heard of Monat. I was excited because yes I have! I told her that once we were back on our feet and not treading water I fully intended on jumping on the Monat bandwagon.
I don’t know about you but having kids ruined my hair. After my first baby I started to turn really gray, the texture changed and it was falling out by the handfuls. Even with all of these changes in my hair I just could not justify the expense or pull the trigger. Silly I know.
But after returning from Mexico my sister in law sent me a text. She had pulled the trigger for me. She told 
me she signed us both up. She told me I needed a distraction. Something I could focus on that would also make me money. A little business to grow and at the same time helping me love my hair again.
She ordered me product, samples, set us up an Instagram page and ordered me 
business cards. I have to admit this was very exciting. But was I really going to be good at this? I am not really salesman.
After a few months of using a full system I notice huge changes in my hair. I actually had new growth! The texture 
was amazing, it was shiny and the volume was insane. That is when I realized that I am not just selling shampoo. I am selling something that I have personally seen results with and something that I believe in. I even got my husband to start using it!
I also realized that the word VIP was not that scary and it actually was saving m
oney me money on my Monat purchases and that flexship did not mean that I was committed to something every single month. I choose when I need to replenish my products.
Since joining Monat I have noticed that I feel better about myself. Who knew a little shampoo could help with that? I certainly didn’t. It has also forced me to reach out to people, connect with old friends and yes it has been a huge distraction.
